Vivo has been making major progress recently in countries like India and China. The handset maker is selling its products like hot cakes in these markets, but its brand is almost unknown globally.
However, that doesn't stop Vivo from bringing interesting products to the market. For those who've never heard about Vivo, this is the company that launched the world's first smartphone equipped with 6GB of RAM.
Well, Vivo's next smartphone is another interesting device, the V5 Plus. The main selling point of the Vivo V5 Plus is the dual-lens front camera, a couple of leaked renders confirm.
Instead of including a dual-camera setup on the back, like many handset makers are doing these days, Vivo has decided to go for the same setup, but on the front side.
Although it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, Vivo V5 Plus is expected to pack a dual-camera setup in the front, which consists of a 20-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera. The largest camera is said to feature a Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone also features something called “moonlight flash” on the front side, which looks more like a marketing stuff rather than something unique. We'll probably learn more once the V5 Plus goes official.
The rest of the phone's specs are pretty decent for a mid-range smartphone. The Vivo V5 Plus is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution. It will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable memory.
The phone will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Funtouch OS on top. It will come with fingerprint sensor under the Home button, as well as USB Type-C port.
According to the latest reports, Vivo is expected to unveil the V5 Plus on January 20, in India. Sadly, there's no word on price tag for the moment.
