Lets Talk About: Xiaomi Mi 6 To Be Out in Mid-March

Is very clear that Xiaomi might announce its latest smartphone during the Mobile World Congress 2017, but the Mi 6 won’t be made available until mid-March, according to a new report. Last year’s Mi 5 was introduced during MWC 2016.

Xiaomi is said to announce its latest smartphone, the Mi 6 during MWC 2017, which starts on February 27. The report also mentions that Xiaomi will start trial production for the upcoming phone next month, while the Mi 6 might hit stores in mid-March, supposedly in China first. We’ll known more when the company releases an official teaser or during MWC at the latest.

Recent rumors have stated that Xiaomi’s Mi 6 will be launched in three different variants and the working titles for these versions have been disclosed, although the actual retail names might be different.

Specs and pricing for the three versions were revealed
Xiaomi Mi 6 Premier is expected to be the higher-end model in the series, with an OLED QHD display and dual-curved design. It might have a ceramic body, 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and run the latest Qualcomm SoC, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 and Quick Charge 4 technology. The phone might also incorporate a dual-camera setup on the back and 256GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Standard will have some features similar to Mi 6 Premier, but it won’t have a ceramic body and might incorporate 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Xiaomi Mi 6 Youth will be the most affordable variant running Helio X30 SoC, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

All three Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphones are expected to run Android Nougat out of the box with the latest MIUI 8 OS on top.

Pricing for the three models has been revealed, the Mi 6 Premier is said to carry a price tag of about $437, while the Standard variant could cost $364 and customers would have to pay about $294 for the Youth version.
