Xiaomi is known to be working on a new smartphone, but a recent report reveals the entire spec sheet for the upcoming Mi 6, as well as the larger Mi 6 Plus variant. The information confirms the existence of the Mi 6 Plus, following some reports that mentioned a possible larger variant.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 appears to run Android 6.0 with MIUI 8 on top and will incorporate 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the model. Moreover, internal capacity might reach 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.0 chips.
Both the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus will run a 2.45GHz quad-core Snapdragon 835 platform, coupled with Adreno 540 graphic processing unit, the same as on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. This contradicts previous reports which pointed to SD821 inside the Mi 6. The phones will have dual nano SIM card slots, but quite different battery capacities and display sizes.

The leak mentions that the Mi 6 will feature a 5.15-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) display, while the Mi 6 Plus will have a larger screen of 5.7 inches and the same resolution. RAM capacity on the Plus model will be 6GB, while the phone will be offered with 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage.
When it comes to rear cameras, the Mi 6 will have a 19MP Sony IMX400 sensor, while the Plus model will feature a dual-camera setup with 12MP Sony IMX362 sensors. The camera is quite an improvement from the IMX258 sensor in Mi 5S Plus. Front camera capacity will be the same on both devices, 8MP ultrapixel sensors.
The Mi 6 Plus will feature a 4,500mAh non-removable battery, much bigger than the 3,200mAh battery on the standard model. The higher-end Mi 6 Plus will also run Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 8 on top. Take the information with a grain of salt, as nothing is certain until the phone is unveiled, possibly on April 11 or 16.
