Asus announced the ZenFone 3 Deluxe
smartphone back in July as the first smartphone to come with the latest
Qualcomm processor, Snapdragon 821. It's part of the larger ZenFone 3
family, which includes the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra, ZenFone 3 Laser,
and ZenFone 3 Max.
ZenFone 3 Deluxe and Laser have been recently listed
on Amazon in the US. They come with 1-year warranty and ship within 2
to 5 weeks.
Additionally, the smartphones have free shipping and are
unlocked.
ZenFone 3 Deluxe
has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD display and dual SIM support. The
smartphone carries a price tag of $530.48 and has a metal case. However,
it seems that the version listed on Amazon is not the flagship one with
Snapdragon 821 CPU and 256GB of internal storage.
Instead, the smartphone features a Snapdragon 820
CPU and 64GB of internal memory, with the option to expand to 128GB
using a microSD card. The SD821 variant was recently made available for
purchase on the company's website for a price of about $800.
ZenFone 3 Laser runs SD430 and has a price tag of $206.95
This variant comes with the same 6GB of RAM and a
very powerful 23MP rear camera with laser focus and 4k recording. Front
camera capacity reaches 8MP and the smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh
battery and Quick Charge 3.0, which allows users to charge 60% of the
battery in just 40 minutes.
It also has USB Type-C ports and runs Android 6.0
Marshmallow and it's highly likely that it will be updated to Android
7.0 Nougat soon.
ZenFone 3 Laser
isn't as powerful as the ZenFone 3 Deluxe and thus carries a smaller
price tag of just $206.95. The smartphone runs Snapdragon 430 CPU, has
2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory. Both devices should work on
GSM/LTE networks, but not on CDMA/LTE carriers like Verizon or Sprint.
