Here Are the Settings You Need to Apply to Make All Your Public Post Private On Facebook

Since Facebook announced of making  all of its public posts available for searching via the site's built-in search  field, meaning you will be able to search everyone's post, not limited to the people you are connected to in one way or the other. But every post you can simple think of searching for on the site. Staff's of
Facebook says this amounts to about 2 trillion post (2,000,000,000,000) the very ones that they are set to
appear as public.
In some way this can be very interesting but caution needs to be applied to make sure that most of this post are hiding from public more especially those that have to deal with your privacy. To make sure this your posts are not visible to the public, first i will suggest you head over to your Facebook timeline and double checking if your post have been set to ''Friend'' or Only Me'' especially if you are really that private and enjoy your own company that much.

But to make sure you are set to avoid past or future disasters, am going to list simple steps you can easily apply to have all your posts set private. First one of the easiest way to see what you have shared publicly is by going to your own profile, and near the View Activity Log button, clicking on the three dots (...). Once you do this it will bring down a hidden panel. Then you click on the ''View as''... option, which will allow you t5o see your own profile as other people do.

The default setting for this feature is always public, and the next page will also show you a complete list of all your posts that are marked as public. This is where you will have too start the setting thought one of the easiest way to do this is by using Facebook's built-in Limit post audience feature. Which you can easily access under the Settings-Privacy-options.

Once you land here you will see ''who can see my stuff?'' section, there you will find the Limit the audience for posts you have shared with friends of  friends or public? line, Once you open that option it will provide you with a button that reads Limit Old Posts. Once you click the button automatically it will change all your older posts both public and private to Friends-only.

Also in the same section you are now but two lines above, there's another option that reads Who can see your future posts? have you seen it? ''good'' just chose your friends that you want them to see your post and also mark all future posts as private, or public depend on your choice.

Please remember once you modify your post privacy from the Update status section it automatically becomes a default setting for that box from that point on. So peradventure you post something new and wants it to be public always remember to change it back to friends afterwards. This are simple steps you need to make sure your privacy is covered at all time.
