The company isn't offering annual contracts for this phone and states that the VR goggles will bring high-end form and function to the device.
This would be one of the cheapest handsets to come bundled with VR goggles. Users will be able to access VR content from Alcatel's VR Store and from VR content provider Littlstar. It's also important to note that Alcatel Idol 4 is available with all smartphone plans, which start at $35/month.

The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. Aside from this, it draws power from a 2,610mAh battery and has a Boom Key button that activates various effects, like louder music or trigger burst mode in the camera. The handset runs Android Marshmallow 6.0, but it won't support Google's Daydream VR platform.
Alcatel Idol 4s is already available for pre-order for $350, and the price will go up to $400 when it launches on August 3.
