Like many others Indeed LG's upcoming handset has gotten us all excited ever since the company announced that
it would be the first non-Nexus smartphone to come with Android 7.0
Nougat. Since then, the unveiling date has been disclosed, and some
images of the smartphone have already leaked
online. The latest renders
show the device's front and back panels, thus revealing some specs.
The images have surfaced over at Android Authority,
and they have been revealed in collaboration with @OnLeaks. They depict
the sphone's front and back panels, together with its dual-camera setup
on the back.
The handset seems to sport a metal body with a large
main display, as well as a smaller secondary screen located above it.
The feature is similar to its predecessor, the V10, which debuted last
year.
The LG V20
appears to pack a fingerprint scanner on the back, which resembles the
G5 in a certain way. The G5 is the company's latest premium smartphone,
but since sales were far from satisfactory, even LG admitted they
considered the V series their new line of flagships. Anyway, the
upcoming V20 is said to measure 159.5 x 78.1 x 7.7 mm, a similar size
compared to the V10.
LG V20 could come with a 5.6- or 5.7-inch display
Word is that the smartphone will come with
Snapdragon 820 inside and have 4GB of RAM. In addition, the device will
run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and its display could be Quad HD,
measuring about 5.6 or 5.7 inches. Other rumors suggest that the
battery capacity could reach 4,000mAh, and internal storage could be
32GB or 64GB.
The V20
is expected to come with USB Type-C. LG has announced that the
smartphone will be unveiled on September 6 in San Francisco and on the
following day in Seoul. As the date approaches, more information is
bound to surface.
