Lets Talk About: Android Nougat Beta Testing For Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge Starts On November 9

Burning burning. Well good news after all. After permanently discontinuing the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung's most recent flagship smartphone is the Galaxy S7, and its curved sibling, the Galaxy S7 edge. Both are supposed to be best-sellers during the holiday season, especially that Samsung has launched the beautiful Blue Coral version.

But one of the factors that could weigh heavily in balance when it comes to choosing the right flagship could be the software. Samsung is readying an Android 7.0 Nougat beta test for the Galaxy S7/S7 edge, and if everything goes well, we don't rule out a worldwide rollout by the end of December.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones would be more appealing to customers if they knew Samsung plans to release Android 7.0 Nougat during or right after the holiday season.

Samsung has recently confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat beta testing for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge starts on November 9. This means that those who've been accepted into the beta program should receive the first build around that date.

It's also worth mentioning that Samsung plans to end the beta testing of Android 7.0 Nougat for both smartphones in mid-December.

Unfortunately, if you own the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition or the Batman Injustice Edition, you will not qualify for the beta testing. However, that doesn't mean these models will not be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat when Samsung releases it.

Keep in mind that in order to participate in the beta testing, you must download and install the Galaxy Beta Programme application through the Registration menu on the top of the app. The application is available for free via Galaxy Apps store.

One last piece of information that we should tell you about is the fact that this Android 7.0 Nougat beta testing is only aimed at unlocked Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge units.
