With the way phone market in India and China are going in the nearest future one is likely to get Android device for just $5. Both countries are well known for its cheap Android handsets, but even there i doubt for now if you can find device priced at less than $10. Well one of the leading US merchandise Walmart has
done the unthinkable and has added what they called the cheapest Android smartphone known to date, to its
portfolio. Guest the device am talking about? sure i believe many haven't heard of the Lucky LG16, well is now listed at Walmart for a price of $9.82. But they said is out of stock for now, that is the kind of problem you face when unusually happens.

Inasmuch as am sure whether or not Walmart is heavily subsidizing this device, but i still remember very well that it's not the first time the company are selling such cheap device. Even the Sunrise LG15 was also on sale at Walmart a while ago. Another fact is that these TracFone LG handsets sell as prepaid, so i strongly believe there are no strings attached.
But like i said before the lucky LG16 is now out of stock, you can
only register your email address to get in stock alerts when the phone becomes available once again. Though is obvious you shouldn't have too many expectation from the Lucky LG16, but i can authoritatively tell you it does better spec-wise than many other device in emerging markets that are even priced much higher.

First the device comes preloaded with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box. Built with a small 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display and coupled with 1.2GHz dual-core processor. And packs 3-megapixel camera that support video recording. Lucky LG16 also has provision for microSD card slot up to 4GB which i think should be okay to provide users enough storage to start with.
Then talk of Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity options as well. They also claim the phone can last up to 10 days of standby time or 7 hours of talk time. I believe with this device nobody is excluded to owe a smartphone.
